With
only a day left until Halloween I wanted to put together a small compilation of
different websites and blogs that are showing Halloween craft tutorials. Later today I plan on posting about different
Halloween party ideas in case you are in need of some last minute ideas, or get
in the mood to throw an impromptu party and need quick help.
Joli
Paquet, which I wrote about here, had some great tutorial from a plethora of talented
women. It’s a good site to bookmark as
they have different themes throughout the year.
In
need of some scary props for your décor or haunted house? Well, Halloween Haunted House may just be the
answer. They share how-to make a zombie
head, a flying ghost, and even guts.
For
the more family friendly crafts, Disney’s Family
Fun magazine shares a variety of crafts and ideas to involve the entire
family. I really like these salt dough
ghosts and I adore the paper bag trees.
There’s
also a how-to video to walk you through the steps to create your own. The actual magazine is pretty great too. Several things are in the magazine and on the
site so I like that. It’s just a really
fun site to explore.
Many
of the magazines you might see at the checkout counters have websites and quite
a few of them like Woman’s Day have
sections for the different holidays including this fabulous one for Halloween. It has a little bit of everything for all of
your Halloween needs: decorating indoors, outdoors, throwing a party, costume ideas,
food, etc.
Craftown
has a large list of craft projects. Note
that some do not have pictures and even those listed with an asterisk, meaning
that they include photos, may only have a sketch or a very small picture.
Of
course the Family Crafts section as About.com is filled with links to other crafty
sites.
Bright
Ideas has different treats to make for your little ghosts and goblins, like
these Night Owl cookies (pictured above courtesy of brightideas.com).
That
about sums up my “small compilation” for this year; I hope it was helpful.
Happy
creating!
