Around town it seems that a lot of people really like those large inflatable lawn decorations for the holidays. During daylight hours though, when they're not inflated, they're pretty sad to see. I was driving past this yard and it looked like a crime scene and the deer did it.
Since I tend to get a lot of snow where I live there isn't much use to decorating the yard for Christmas, I'll let nature handle that. However, there are some wooden trees Daddy made that go near the front porch
and this year Mommy decided to decorate the window boxes, so far here they are all greened in and can be left like that or decked out some more with flowers, pine cones, ribbon, ornaments, whatever one wishes.
I have to drive 30 miles north "to the lake" twice a week for my job. The other day I saw a woman decorating a mailbox and made a mental note to make sure I take a peek when I came back through a couple of days later. I really like it, so festive and nice. I took this picture just as it began to snow
I did see it when the poinsettias had a slight dusting of snow on them, I just didn't have my camera at that time.
Happy Monday!
Oh I am so with you about the inflatable crime scene! So funny!
Thank you for sharing your snow.

I've never thought of decorating my mail box. I loved your photo.
Merry Christmas!
