For Christmas I purchased a new scanner as a present for myself. I’ve needed a new one for years and just never went ahead and purchased it. In December I received a little extra in my pay (there have been major cuts to our funding and some funds that were being held up were released and we got a little extra because of that) so I figured that I would finally get the scanner.
One of my main objectives for purchasing a scanner was to start a project I’ve wanted to do for a few years now, get all of my family photos (ones from my childhood and some from my parents’ childhood) scanned and organized. There are a multitude of reasons I wanted to do this this, one is to get the pictures digital so I can clean them up and another is so that I can share them with other family members. Naturally, the main reason is simply to keep them safe.
When the scanner arrived I instantly hooked it up and began scanning photos. The first were those of my parents’ wedding, they were married forty years ago this past December, and Mommy really wanted a few of the photos to have at her disposal.
I then scanned a few photos of Baby Boy.
Of course, I haven’t even skimmed the surface with the amount of pictures I have and want to scan, but as with any large project I just need to take it one bit at a time.
I’ll continue to share my progress with you and share the photos as I get more scanned.
Happy Thursday!
