In
two weeks time Mommy and I will be vendors at another show. This time it is for Treasures on Foxwood and
is another somewhat local show.
It
will be held on the grounds of a Victorian Tea House (the one in the photo I
took above) and a lovely home just across the lane.
Admission
is free (as is parking as far as I know) and there are many vendors (at least
forty that I have heard about). Vendors
will cover everything from antiques, collectibles, vintage goods, primitives
and arts and crafts. Both homes will
have vendors set up… with the one across the lane featuring more artists.
Another
great thing is that the Tea House will be open for tea on both Saturday and
Sunday for $10 per person, no reservations necessary. The hostesses will also be serving us vendors
lunch those days as well, so very sweet.
Of
course I will be sharing all about it once it is over (along with all sorts of
pictures).
Treasures
on Foxwood is located between Newport and Diamond Lake (Washington) just
off Highway 2, between mile markers 328 and 329. There is a billboard right at Foxwood Drive (the
road is just past the billboard if you are traveling from Newport
and just before if you are traveling from Diamond Lake.
If
you are in the area then stop on by and say hi and check all the vendors out.
Looks like this is going to be a lot of fun..
I just found out about this. Just the past few days I have been researching different events in the Spokane area. My most recent blog entry ( http://taogem.com/ ) talks about my interest in getting out and networking. Meeting other lapidaries, and jewelry designers.
Also am in the process of creating a Spokane area social networking site ( http://spokanecrafts.ning.com/ ) in the hopes of further networking with gemstone and jewelry design artist. Should be a lot of fun.
Will have my app to you asap. This is my first juried event.. I was just asking other members on my forum ( http://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,2137.0.html ) what the difference is between juried and non juried events are.
Nice to see the application is much simpler than what I have been reading up on.
Sounds like there are going to be lots of interesting vendors.
Lets hope for beautiful weather !
Ok, I have rambled on long enough... Thanks for the opportunity and application. Looking forward to your event !

Wow !! What a great time we had !
I can not say enough about both Jeannine and Roger. It was everything I had hoped for and more.
I understand they are considering two events next year.. I know I will be there again.
Just wanted to say what a success it was and how much we enjoyed being a vendor there.
The only unfortunate instance was a local five and dime hardware store who's owners sadly leached off these kind hosts hard work..
Hopefully next year they will opt to join in with the rest of the community rather than try to profit off the Treasures on Foxwood event sponors, vendors and visitors.
See everyone next year !
