Today has been drizzly, all day, which made it the perfect day to get started cleaning out the workroom (that and the fact Mommy is still out of town and I didn’t want to go anywhere). The workroom was in serious need of cleaning since it had become a dumping ground for everything since October. Well, to be perfectly honest, it’s probably been a storage room more than a workroom since I went back to work in August.
I really want a workroom and I really need a workroom but when I can’t get to storage (snow) and I keep getting/giving things (participating in swaps, getting and storing supplies and items for upcoming shows, etc) it can add up. After I woke up and gave Spanky and Chewie some attention, I decided that I would work at least two hours on the room and set the timer. Those two hours flew by and I had made a dent so I felt that I would go longer so I set the timer for another two hours. At this point I knew that I needed a break and something to eat…luckily Daddy had made some cranberry scones so I had a couple (they’re about the size of a biscuit) and some green tea and I was refreshed to get back to cleaning and organizing.
Another four hours (I told you it was a mess) and I stopped to make a quick dinner of fish and a large green salad then back to work. This time it was about taking boxes to the van to take to storage and cleaning up the trash, breaking down boxes and straightening everything up so it’s easier to get back to it.
There is a lot still left to do but it’ll be easier since I now have a better lay of the land. And tomorrow is another day.
I need to get your motivation!! I can barely squeeze into my craft room. I have a path to the ironing board and sewing machine. I'm going to try to get a jump on it this week though.
Happy Cleaning!
